Day 01 : Casablanca Arrival

Salaam Alaikum and welcome to Morocco!

Your airport transfer is included for Day 1 arrivals or if you've booked pre-trip accommodation through us. Share your flight details at least 15 days before your travel. Join us for a welcome meeting at 6 pm at your hotel; confirm details with the reception. If you're running late, inform the hotel. Bring your insurance details and next of kin for collection.

If you have time in Casablanca before the meeting, explore the Villa des Arts de Casablanca, an art deco gallery showcasing contemporary Moroccan and international art. The Museum of Judaism is also worth a visit for a glimpse into Moroccan history.

Day 02 : Casablanca - Asilah - Chefchaouen

Begin your day at the iconic Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, a colossal structure partly on land and partly on the sea, featuring a glass-floored section revealing ocean waters. Enjoy a private guided tour. Departing Casablanca, stop for lunch in the seaside village of Asilah, known for its white-and-blue houses and Portuguese fortifications. Continue to Chefchaouen, "The Blue City," arriving in the early evening. Take a leisurely walk along cobblestone paths, surrounded by indigo-hued buildings, and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Day 03 : Day 3: Volubilis - Fes

Following breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a leisurely morning exploring the enchanting Chefchaouen, Morocco's hidden gem. Our journey continues towards Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other RIF Mountain villages. Amidst a fertile plain, discover the ruins of Volubilis, the best-preserved archaeological site in Morocco. Noteworthy for its stunning mosaics, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. After exploring the ruins, we head directly to Fes, where you'll spend the night, eagerly anticipating tomorrow's exciting activities.

Day 04 : Day 4: Exploring the Wonders of Fes

Following breakfast at your Riad, embark on a captivating journey through the ancient city of Fes. Wander through time-worn alleys, tracing the footsteps of thousands before you. Explore the Royal Palace gate and the historic Jewish quarters, home to the first Mellah built in Morocco in the late 16th century. Immerse yourself in cultural and historical wonders, including the renowned al-Qarawiyyin University (the world's oldest), the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss II Mausoleum. After a delightful lunch, visit the Tile Cooperative and relish a panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes.

Day 05 : Day 5: Middle Atlas - Merzouga Sahara Desert

Post-breakfast, depart from our Riad in Fes, heading south to Ifrane and Azrou in the Mid Atlas Mountains. Pause in a Cedar Forest to witness Barbary apes in their natural habitat. Continue through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt, admiring the Ziz Gorges and evolving landscapes hinting at the desert near Errachidia. After lunch, journey through the Ziz Valley, passing Erfoud and Rissani, and reach Merzouga. Upon arrival, savor a refreshing mint tea, secure your luggage, and hop on camels to the Berber camp amid the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes—North Africa's highest, spanning 20 km by 5 km. The camel trek to the campsite takes about an hour, allowing you to immerse in the nomadic Berber lifestyle. After dinner, gather around a campfire, surrounded by stars, and relish the beat of traditional Berber drums in the cool night air.

Day 06 : Day 6: Todra Gorges - Skoura Oasis

Your camel guide will wake you early to witness an incredible sunrise over the Erg Chebbi Dunes. After this magical moment, peacefully trek back to the hotel via camels, appreciating the evolving beauty of the dunes in the morning light. Our journey continues to Tinghir and Todra Gorges, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Drive through the Dades Valley, passing Kalaat M’gouna and Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa. The route through the Dades Valley, the way of the thousand Kasbahs, offers numerous photographic opportunities, followed by the Roses Valley and Skoura Oasis. Enjoy an overnight stay in the serene Skoura Oasis.

Day 07 : Day 7: Atlas Mountains

Bid farewell to the Sahara and journey over the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260 meters above sea level) to Toubkal National Park (approximately 6 hours), passing snow-dappled mountains and valleys in full flower along the way. At the end of our drive today, we will arrive in Ait Ben Haddou for a visit to the famous Kasbah. Continue to Imlil, where you will store your main luggage and load a daypack onto a pack mule. Embark on a 1-hour trek into the heart of traditional mountain village life, exploring the serene village of Aroumd—a peaceful escape from the modern world. For those not keen on walking, a calm-natured mule is available. Perched on a rocky outcrop, Aroumd provides stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains and an authentic experience of Berber culture. Spend the night in the cozy comfort of an auberge, immersed in the aroma of woodstoves and freshly baked bread. Indulge in Berber hospitality and savor delicious traditional cuisine.

Day 08 : Essaouira

Take a morning stroll through the scenic valleys and trails of the Atlas Mountains, weather permitting. Following this, head westward for approximately 5 hours to the charming old fishing town of Essaouira. This coastal city features a medina that meets the Atlantic Ocean, with sandstone walkways against whitewashed houses, a vibrant blue sky, and the sandy beaches and dunes. Once home to substantial British and Jewish populations, Essaouira's allure attracted notable figures like Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix, who, as local legend has it, spent much of the 1960s here. Upon your afternoon arrival, there's time for exploration. Your tour leader will provide suggestions, from observing the lively seafood markets to enjoying the sea breeze in a local cafe. In the evening, consider gathering with your group to share a meal and experience the charm of Essaouira by night.

Day 09 : Essaouira - Marrakech

Explore Essaouira's old medina, Jewish Mellah, bustling port, and Skala (sea wall) on a guided walking tour. Enjoy free time to wander the car-free narrow streets, reminiscent of a bygone era of sea pirates. Witness the lively fishing port, where the daily catch is auctioned, and savor a plate of freshly cooked seafood. Discover unique art in shops and galleries, and appreciate Essaouira's reputation for burled Thuya wood craftsmanship. The pleasant aroma of polished wood fills the air. If relaxation beckons, indulge in a Hammam or local-style bath/massage. The approximately 3-hour drive to Marrakech awaits.

Day 10 : Marrakech Souks & Kasbah

Explore Bahia Palace with your Local Specialist and soak up the lively atmosphere of Djemaa el Fna Square in the Old Quarter. Enjoy the afternoon in Marrakesh's beautiful gardens, delve into the arts scene, or experience an authentic Moroccan show.
